  • ELLA (FKA SWEET PEA)

Here is what Ella’s parents have to say about this sweetie adopted in October 2023.

"It's been a whole week since we got to bring her home. We thought the name Ella would stick better with her, but Sweet Pea is a great nickname. She's definitely a puppy still and brings a lot of energy to our home, but her snuggles make up for her crazy. She has been super accepting of the new big sister she met when she got home. Just wanted to send an update from this Sweet Pea."

  • SILVERADO & AUSTA

On January 31st, LPHS received a Facebook message asking if Silverado had found his forever home or not. Luckily for John and his fiancé, Silverado was still on the hunt for a home... and so was his brother Austa. Just a few short days after completing the application process Silverado AND Austa were off to their new home! We reached out to John to check in and got told:

"We love them, and we are keeping them! They are very good dogs and were happy we could keep them together."

  • NOVA

Ms Nova was adopted after two weeks of being in our shelter. She has made her home with Jennifer and Dana Knifer since June of 2021. Here is what her owners had to share:

”Hi, I wanted to reach out with an update. We adopted Nova in June 2021 and she had been an amazing fit for our family. Everyone that meets her raves about what a sweet dog she is. We are forever thankful to give her a soft place to lay her head and a home to call her own.”

  • JAX (FKA CYMBA)

Jax, formerly known as Cymba, was adopted by Briana & Adam Davidson who drove several hours to come and pick him up.

"After he became comfortable we brought in Zoeigh our chihuahua into the mix in our home. They became instant bffs. He was a little more apprehensive of his feline sister Millie, but has grown to love her despite she always wants to play and he's a grumpy old man. We love our little guy and seriously couldn't imagine our life without him in it! He's a spoiled little chunk."

  • ALLEY

“We got her in 2019 from LPHS. She is 4 years old at the beginning of October! She is absolutely the best dog ever. She loves lots of car rides, swimming is a must and golfing is also something she enjoys. She was a puppy when we got her, and we are so glad she is part of our family! She travels with us to almost everywhere we visit! She will tell you all about it if she is upset about something!”

  • BELLA

Bella was adopted in the summer of 2019. Her parents sound beyond happy with this addition to their family!

“With tons of love & patience, Bella has come a long way of trusting that people will not hurt her. She soothed our broken hearts after Chewy’s death. (Convinced he led us to her). Thank you LPHS for your love & care of lost/abandoned animals.”

  • BRODY

“This Is Brody and he was adopted from LPHS! He is living his best life with his family and brother Guss! Loves to play in the river and sleep with his human parents!”

  • GRETA (FKA CORA)

After 112 days in the shelter, Ms Greta has found her furever home with Sheri Keller! Here’s what Sherri had to share with us:

“Hi! Just wanted to touch base with you. First off, I changed Cora's name to Greta, but most of the time I call her girlfriend. She is so sweet and minds me. She doesn't hurt the cats no matter how much they hiss and swat at her. No problems with housebreaking. We really enjoy her.”

  • IZZY (AKA LIZARD)

This sweet dachshund was only at LPHS for days! Here's what her mama has to say about her!

“We adopted Izzy we call her lizard now because she can’t control her tongue, she’s always licking lol from you in August of 2019. She was abused and underweight when you guys got her. Now she is at the perfect weight and loving life. Her and Whalen are best friends she tolerates the other dog. She sleeps in the bed on weekends. Loves cuddles and belly rubs. I appreciate all you guys do.”

  • TUCKER (FKA ROMAN)

“This is Tucker (formerly Roman). We adopted him when he was about 8mths old from LPHS, he's now 3yrs old as of Oct. He's a super sweet boy and very playful. When we first got him though he did have some food aggression towards our other, older dog, Makita. He would snap at her if she got close to him while he was eating, I believe this was from past experiences. We did a lot of work with him and are happy to say he is no longer food aggressive, as you can see by one of the pictures. He's super cuddly and loves toys, when we get home, he immediately runs and grabs a toy and runs around. He's super strong and can jump up about 4ft from a sit, hence we had to make our gates higher, lol. He loves to follow his big sister around and play tug with toys. He's definitely kept us on our toes, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you LPHS for this sweet boy!”

  • BEERUS

Beerus was adopted in July of 2022 after spending 10 weeks with us here at LPHS.

His furever family sent us an update!

“We wanted to let you all know how well Beerus is doing in his furever home! He has completed Rockin E’s Beginning DaVinci course. He gets daily walks and insists we play ball several times a day! He is loved, and he is the center of our world!”

  • LOKI

When Loki first set foot in LPHS, he had no idea that in just 11 short days his life would change again. "Loki came into the shelter and it was love at first site. I walked in, made eye contact and knew he was mine."

On April 2, 2022 Loki found his forever home with Jordyn. He completed their family and gained three new brothers. Cash, Buddy and his feline brother Odin. He's living his best life, exploring mountains at his mom's side, playing and getting lots of love and homemade treats. According to Jordyn Loki is the family protector and just what their family was looking for.
