Our Mission

At the Laramie Peak Humane Society, our mission is to protect, care for, and provide for the reasonable and humane disposition of unwanted or stray dogs, cats, and other animals; assist caregivers and owners of dogs, cats, and other animals in protecting, caring for, and treating animals in a compassionate and humane manner. 

Our Goal

To fulfill our mission, we prioritize fostering strong community ties through various programs, including impound and lost pet services, TNR, and vouchers. Our team and facility actively engage with the community, bringing adoptable pets to adoption drives, dog parks, and local events in Douglas, Wyoming. UPCOMING AT LPHS

Join us on Wednesday, May 22nd for our Spay/Neuter Clinic, hosted in collaboration with Advanced Animal Care. This initiative aims to assist low-income residents of Converse County by providing affordable spay/neuter services for their cats. With space for 75 cats, applications are required, along with proof of income. Drop-off times will be provided upon application approval. Don't miss this opportunity to promote responsible pet ownership in our community!

Programs & Resources

  • Laramie Peak Humane Society is dedicated to the safety of the pets in our community. LPHS offers affordable microchipping to the public, $20 per microchip.

  • The Laramie Peak Humane Society has teamed up with the City of Douglas to offer a secure, temporary haven for impounded and lost animals while their owners locate or reclaim them.

  • If for some reason you are unable to keep your pet, Laramie Peak Humane Society is willing to take dogs and cats and place them into homes that are able to care for them.

  • LPHS offers spay/neuter clinics, vouchers, and TNR services.

  • The Laramie Peak Humane Society is committed to the welfare of all animals in our community, even those without a home. LPHS continues to lower the number of homeless and unaltered outdoor cats in our community through our Trap, Neuter, and Return program commonly known as the Community Cat Program.

  • Paws & Pearls

    Don't miss our biggest fundraiser of the year! Every first Saturday in December, animal lovers unite to support LPHS. Enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a delightful desserts dash. Stay tuned for updates on this year's event!

  • Vets & Pets Bingo

    Join us for Vets and Pets Bingo Night, presented by American Legion Post 8 and Laramie Peak Humane Society. Mark your calendars for the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

  • Dog Days of Summer

    Join us for the ultimate summer splash event where the pool is reserved exclusively for dogs! No humans allowed for one day only. Admission is $5.00 per dog, and dogs must be leashed during check-in. Visit the Douglas City Pool at 723-799 Center St, Douglas, WY 82633. See you next year in August 2024!

  • Paws & Claus

    Join us next November for a special opportunity to capture the magic of the holiday season with your beloved pets! Get your pet's photo taken with Santa Claus himself. Mark your calendars and don't miss out on this heartwarming experience!

  • Oktoberfest

    Get ready to show off your furry friend's style at our annual costume contest! Bring your dogs dressed in their best costumes for a chance to win fabulous prizes. Winners will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Best Costume category. Entry fee is a donation. Save the date for next year's event: October 2024!
